The exhibition was hosted by the people's government of Qingdao city and the office of the commission for civil-military integration development of the CPC shandong provincial committee. It aims to thoroughly implement the development strategy of civil-military integration, comprehensively display the achievements in scientific and technological innovation of civil-military integration, and build a platform for the joint cooperation, exchange and mutual learning and collaborative innovation of military government, industry, universities and research institutes.

A total of 32 billion yuan was invested in the west coast new area of Qingdao, which is home to 24 civil-military integration projects, including the civil-military integration project of China academy of aerospace aerodynamics technology, Qingdao branch of China academy of space systems science and engineering, Qingdao branch of the third academy of aerospace science and industry, and the china-aviation xiangxun collaborative innovation platform.

The exhibition attracted nearly 400 units, including 11 military industrial groups owned by state-owned assets supervision and administration commission (sasac) under the state council and 8 military science and technology universities, with an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters. Of the exhibits on display, 48 are pioneering, innovative and disruptive technologies, while 21 fill the gaps in China. 356 products of "military transformation to civilian" and 38 products of "civilian army".
